Didn't even fell like it.

This is the first time in years that I am not feeling hungover. It usually takes me two or three days to get over the Canoe trip. It didn't even feel like a holiday. It did feel like it was suppose to be a holiday still this morning on my way to work though. There was hardly any traffic. I don't know if it was because it was the day after a holiday or because the bridge is partly out at Story Ln & Hwy 183, but there was no traffic this morning. I got to work in no time at all. Tammy brought me lunch and said that the Hwy was all crowded, so I guess everybody was just late to work this morning except for me.

Worked sucked as usual. End of the month stuff. I got a lot of work done early today though. I didn't stay late because tonight was the first day of summer school for me. I am taking Concepts of Physical Activity. It looks like it is going to be a blow off class. I really need that now so I can bring up my GPA. I will also be working out in this class, which is not going to hurt me either. I could lose about 20 pounds and I would be happy. We will see. From what I have figured out though all you have to do to get an "A" in this class is show up. So no more skipping for me. In the second semester of summer I am taking Comp I. This will be the 3rd time of me taking this class. I took it in 1990 at Tarleton State University, which I failed only because of absentees. I actually passed the class with an "A", but the teacher failed me because I missed more than 9 classes that semester. It was the first year that they had passed that law, so you know they had to make sure everybody was in class. The other times I have had to drop it because of work schedule changes. Hopefully the third time is a charm, or is it the 4th time. Don't know, don't care. I just want to "gitter done"

Nothing else is going on. I don't have to study for this new class so I am going to play some baseball on the X-box. I am playing the Rangers in a franchise mode and guess what, we have lost both games so far. I am trying to keep it real.
Talk to ya'll later.

Be Cool.

Sunday Review #3

Well it was a pretty good Sunday. Not really going to review the week, because I have been a good little blogger and you will just have to scroll down to read what went on this week. We got up and went to church. Yes, I said church. We go every once in a while. We went to a new church for us. We went to the First United Methodist Church of Euless. We liked it a lot. It reminded me of my old church and the service was only an hour long. Not bad. We are probably going to join.

After church we met my parents out for lunch at CiCi's Pizza. When we were leaving a friend of ours called and asked us to meet her up at Lowes. I just love that store. I like it a lot more than Home Depot. They have more stuff at Lowes. Speaking of Lowes, congrat's Jimmy Johnson on the win tonight. Man was he fast tonight, or at the last. I only watched the last forty laps. Any ways we meet her at Lowes and she wants me to haul a door and frame home for her, because all she has is a Jeep. We got the door and I took it back to her place. I ended up installing the door for her. I know, what a great guy. Tammy and her sat in the kitchen and talked while I installed the door. I was real proud of my self. It didn't take me long and I only had to install it once. Usually it takes me at least twice because the I fuck it up the first time. I am turning into a regular handyman now that I am moving out of my house and back into an apartment.
So we get done with the door and come home to get the girl's stuff ready to take them home. After we drop them off we had to stop by my mom and dad's, beaus they wanted to talk to us and crunch the numbers about moving back into an apartment. We finally made them see the light. We dropped by the B so Tammy could get some potato soup and see the Babysitter (her video game at the end of the bar that she plays on while I drink). I watched the end of the Nextel race and now we are home.

We are going over to Mom and Dad's tomorrow for the holiday. It still sucks that we aren't camping right now. Just doesn't feel like Memorial Day. Next year we are going even if nobody else is. Hope all of you have a great day tomorrow and be safe. If anybody needs a ride, let me know. I won't be drinking because I will be at my parents for most of the day.

Be Cool.

Big News

Well Tammy and I are selling the house and moving back into an apartment. We have crunched the numbers and we can save over $1,500.00 a month. Since Tammy's pay has been cut and I am back in school, we have decide to do this. No more mowing the lawn. Yeah. We have come to realize that we are just apartment people. I was afraid that the kids would have a problem with us moving back into an apartment, but they are excited because we will be able to go swimming all the time. Which is a God send, because it is good cheap fun. We will be getting another house once I graduate from nursing school. I have really enjoyed having a house, but I am going to really enjoy having money again.

The only part that really sucks about this is that Marketing Dave is building a house behind mine and our neighbor across the street is really cool. So if ya'll need lawn care equipment come see me. We are also having a huge garage/moving sale on June 10. The prices are going to be cheap to free, just take the stuff. Tammy and I went to look for apartments yesterday and we found the one we are going to move into. We are moving to the Mandolion on 360 on the north side of Midcities Rd. So if anybody wants to help us move we would appreciate it. We are going to start moving in on June 10. Yes I know the same weekend as the garage sale, there is always reasoning behind my madness.

Nothing else really going on this weekend. Going to My Mom's on Monday to spend time with them and play cards.

One piece of bad news is that my email will change and it will take me a little while to get back online once we move because the only cable they have there is through SBC and guess what. I owe them money. I will be updating my site from the business center, but please forgive me if it is not everyday. I will being getting hooked back up to the internet as soon as possible once we move in, it might just take me a week or so, or in SBC terms probably a month. There is a great business center and workout room that I will have access to 24hrs a day.

Also we have a Fridgerator for sale if anybody is interested. We are selling it for $200. It does not have an icemaker, but it is really big and fairly new. So let me know if any of you want it. Also Bull is looking for a good home, if anybody wants a 6 month old full blooded Blue Heeler. I just can't see making him live in an apartment. He has all his shots up to date and is free to a good home. I will miss him, but I will not have a blue heeler in an apartment. It is too cruel.

Hope all you you have a great Memorial Weekend, and Shump where is this block party at?

Go Duece

Thanks for the comment Rich. I knew if I begged a little bit someone would comment. I know it is squirrelly, but oh well. Work sucked today, and will for the next two business days. Thank God it is a holiday weekend even if we aren't going on the Canoe trip. That does suck, but Next year will be great.

Shump went to the Kinky Pint night @ the Flying Saucer. I wish I could have made that, but it was on the wrong side of the airport and I am too poor right now. I would have liked to have met Kinky Friedman though. Ben got me turned onto his books. They are actually good reads. I am definitely voting for this guy. I think it will be the second time I ever voted in my life. The only other time I voted was when my dad was running for a spot on the city council. He didn't get too many votes. Probably just my family. It was right after he retired. I guess he was getting bored. I think he lost to the dead guy. JK. Look another internet word. I'm getting this shit down.

Got off work and we had 3 softball games tonight. The Princesses team had a game @ 6pm and the Softball Queen had a double header after that. They both won. Their teams are 1st (the Princesses team) and 2nd (the Softball Queen's team). They play next Friday for the Championship. If the Princesses team wins its over. If the Softball Queen's team wins they have to play again, because it would tie them up. Wish I could be there, but we will be in Houston for the Wild One's State Bowling Tournament. Yeeha. As you can tell I am such a big fan of bowling. Its all for the kids though.

Well the girls are over and want to get on the computer, because they are out of school. Plus I got to go to bed so I can get up and go to work in the morning. Talk to all of you later.

Be Cool.

The only person who leaves comments on this site is Shumpy. I know some of you might not be checking regularly, because I haven't been the greatest at writing every night. I am still kinda of new to this, so it will take me a bit to get everything right on this site. If I can ever get Shump to come over it would be great. I do have a site meter, but I haven't figured out how to put it on the site yet, but they have been sending the Zero Report regularly.

Congrat's to Shumpy for making the C list on blogebrity. I didn't even make the Z list. I guess I need to update a little more than I have been. I am proud of Shumpy though. He has made a pretty good site. You are my Blog Idol.

Not a lot really went on at work today. Just end of the month stuff. My boss asking me if we are going to make our numbers, and me assuring him that we will. Got off work and actually got to stay home tonight. No softball, baseball, or Concerts to go to for my stepkids. Tammy cooked supper, which is always great.

I watched two shows tonight that pissed me off and I knew ABC was going to piss me off, just like they do every year about this time. I watched the finale of Lost and Alias. Everybody kept telling me that all was going to be explained on Lost tonight. Did they though, Hell no. They kept us hanging on until next season. Alias I thought was going to end and be done. No, they had to stick a car crash with a new secret to come out in the end. I don't know why I let these shows get to me. I should know better by now. Oh well, I guess we will have to wait until the fall or whenever the TV gods at ABC decide to start the new season before our lives can be satisfied on the stories of these two shows. It does keep us watching the boob tube. Yes my name is Cowboy Colby and I am a TV addict.

That's all for today boys and girls. The weekend is almost here.

Be Cool.

Long Overdue

To all my fans out there I didn't know I had, I am sorry for not updating. This has been one of the craziest weeks in a long time. Wednesday night we had an intervention for one of my buddies. He is leaving his wife and really fucking up. Not going to go into many details, but his brother flew in and we tried to set him straight last Wednesday. Doesn't look like he is going to do the right thing, but oh well, what can you do.

So anyways my buddy flew in from AZ for the intervention and also his youngest brother's wedding. Thursday night was the rehearsal and dinner. The groom's dad rented out the private bar in Billy Bob's. Free food and beer, you know I was there. I had to dance with all the older ladies later that night that were in for the wedding. It is a curse sometimes being such a good dancer. My favorite dance was with my friends little girl though. She is 5 and I had to carry her, but at least she didn't step on my feet. Went home at a reasonable time, because I had to work the next day and I couldn't take off, because I had already taken Thursday off. Tammy got a hold of her oldest son and she flew out to see him in Gulf Port, MS. She was gone for the whole weekend. Yahooo, time to party. Yeah right. I went out Friday and went to Benigan's with Glen (my buddy from AZ). We had a good time and I got a little drunk. I didn't think I had drank that much, until on Saturday I went to the Wild One's baseball game. Of course it had to be the hottest day of the year so far, and I was feeling a little, OK, a lot hung over. I stayed for most of the game, then I had to leave and go home and lay up like a crack whore. It was nice. I have not been able to do that since I lived with Link. I ordered a pizza online. Man I am getting s0 computer savvy it is scary. Pretty soon I won't even need to leave the house. Yeah right.

I finally get up off the couch about 9pm and meet Glen and a few friends up at Razzoo's. I ordered one beer and drank about 1/2 of it. It was water from then on. I can not drink 2 days in a row anymore. God I am getting old and it sucks.

Tammy flew in Sunday and we just kind of rested around the house. It was great having her home. I don't sleep in the bed when she is not here for some reason. I sleep on the couch. Weird I know, but that is the way it is.

Monday sucked at work, but we got a lot knocked out. We had a staff meeting at the end of the day that was pretty fucking useless. They came in asking how we should do things to improve, but didn't come up with anything. If I wanted to have a pow wow, I would have gone to Indian Council. They waste our time having meetings, then not telling the people you need to get their shit straight. SOS. Gets real old. I would have rather they came in and they bitched us out and said this is how we are going to do it, then waste my time by saying " What do we need to do to fix the problems?" Then not come up with anything. Blah Blah Blah. I am so ready to get through Nursing School. I am taking two classes this summer just so I can get it done faster. Hopefully I will start NS in the Fall of '06.

Tuesday was pretty good. Got a lot knocked and still had some time to F.O. (fuck off). Went to the Wild One's baseball game tonight. They won 16 to 10. They are tied for 1st right now. The play off game is June 4th, but we will be in Houston, because the Wild One is in a State bowling tournament.

Went up to the B for a beer and a shot. Tammy had her potato soup. Pretty good crowd. Growler, Peachy, Shumpy, Kim, Crash, Suzzane, Berry and even Beka was there. Thank You Beka for the shot by the way.

Then I came home and read my emails and updated the blog for ya'll.

Now for the challenge that Shumpy sent. Hope I get this right.

Back again

Count them two days in a row. Not a lot happened today. Went to work. SOS. Got home and downloaded musicmatch.com so I could get my free downloads from Jack in the Crack. I have been eating free food off them all last week. I am such a sucker for free stuff. Anyways I download the player and had to go to the Wild One's baseball game. They did great. I thought they were going to lose. In the first inning the other team got up 7 to 1. His team came back though and beat them 13 to 8. The W.O. popped up his first at bat and got a single his second at bat. He seemed to do better once his dad got there. He didn't have much action in center field tonight though. None of the other team could get it out of the infield.

Came home after the game and download or should I say tried to download to free songs courtesy of Jack in the Crack. As always nothing in this life is free. The first song I tried to download errored out, but of course they charged me for it. I have a message in to the site to give me credit, because the second one downloaded just fine. I downloaded Dragula by Rob Zombie and tried to download "the King is gone" by No Show Jones (George Jones for all you youngins.) I know two different worlds of music but what can I say, I have wide horizons of likes and dislikes.

I was going to try and figure out how to post pics to this site, but I am tired of hearing the bachelor in the background that Tammy is watching. How the hell can women get into this show. The only other show that is worse is the bachelorette. I don't know about where ya'll come from, but the girls in my town that date 25 guys at once are sluts. To each their own though. That should get someboy fired up. So I think I am going to go to bed and watch TV.

Not a long post, but it is the thought that counts.

Be Cool.

Sunday Review 2

Well I didn't stay with what I said. I promised I would do better at blogging. This has been a very busy weekend. Friday night the Princess had her banquet with choir and we got her home around 1am. We got up early Saturday and went to Home Depot and Walmart. Then we went to my niece's daughter's birthday. It was great to see them since they moved to Arkansas with her husband. He is about to go into the Navy. He is going in as a missile tech and has dreams about being a Seal. I don't think he has it in him, but you never know. The little prick has already run off on her once when the pressure of being a daddy and husband got to rough on him. I still wish him the best, because she is my niece. After the birthday party we came home. The Softball Queen went out to the dirt track races with a friend of hers and Tammy had to get the Princess ready for her second banquet for the weekend. She had her band banquet Saturday night. We got her dropped off at that only fifteen minutes late, but you would have thought it was an hour. Oh how the love comes out between mothers and daughters when they are trying to hair for a banquet. Tammy and I went to see a movie. We saw Crash with Sandra Bullock. It was an excellent movie. Really made you think. Great writing, you never knew what was going to happen next. Growler and PMP were there. We hooked up with them after the movie and went to the "B". Tammy and I only stayed for a little while. Shumpy and Kim were there. Tammy was exhausted and I really wasn't in the drinking mood. I know a lot of you are surprised about that.

I took Tammy home and watched a little TV. I had to go pick up the Princess from her banquet. When I got there I went into the hotel thinking that she would want to stay a little longer, but she was so tired from going to both banquets that all she wanted to do was get something to eat, because they served chicken at both banquets. So I took her to Taco Bell. We got to spend a little father - daughter time. I enjoy the talks she and I have when I take her places. When she got home we downloaded the pics to the computer so she could put them on her Zanga site. It is like a blog site for high schoolers. One of these days I will learn how to link the pics to this site. Shumpy is going to have to come over and teach me how. Obie One Kanobie your my only hope. (Yes Shump, I know I probably misspelled it.) So needless to say we were tired as shit today. We got up around 10 am and cleaned house a little and went to have Birthday lunch with my folks for the Princesses Birthday. After that we were suppose to go 4 wheeling, but my buddy Ireland decided to go to Strokers for a bike rally. I can't say I blame him. So we didn't go, because I was not going to get stuck down in the trails with out a winch. So we took naps. The Softball Queen had come home today feeling sick. We took the kids home and stopped by the "B" for some supper and a few drinks. Ireland showed up and showed off his new bike. He got a "Big Dog". I had never heard of this bike, but it was nice. It must be nice to have money. We had a good time and Shump showed up. We all got to meet Ireland's new girlfriend Beth, and she was very nice. Tammy likes her so that is a good thing. We tabbed out and came home. Nothing to exciting about the weekend, but we still had a good time. So until the next time we meet. Have a good week, and don't let the man get you down.

Be Cool.

Bad Cowboy

I have been a bad cowboy these last few days. I am sorry I haven't updated the blog everyday, but some of us have to go to bed so we can get up and get to work on time. This week has been hectic. Tuesday night was the Princesses choir concert. She had a small solo in the presentation. She sounded great. We thought it was only going to be an hour long presentation, but it lasted 2 1/2 hours. They did a great job, but I can only listen to so many Show Tunes. Their theme this year was 100 years of Broadway. Yes it was a beat down, but we enjoyed it for the kids. After that we had to stop by my mother's so we could drop off the mother's day gift, since she was out of town on mother's day. We staid and talked with them for too long. My oldest sister was staying the night, because she is redoing the upstairs rooms. My sister has turned in a real "Martha Stewart" type of lady. She redid my old room. I thought is was going to be all girlie by the way they were talking about it, but it turned out really cool.

Wednesday. Went to work, blah, blah. After work we had our weekly golf scramble at Bear Creek golf course. Our team nearly won. We shot 3 under. Not bad seeing as our team had the handicap. Me. Some Cat engine rep's were there and we were drinking on there expense account. Man how I miss having an expense account. So we got a little tipsy. After golf I came home and fed the dog and waited on Tammy to get home from shopping with the girl's. The Princess has two banquets this weekend. She has her band and choir banquets going on. So when she got home, I wasn't feeling any pain and decided we needed to go up to the B. I called peanut and she met us up there. When we got up there Keith a.k.a. Nicole was there. He staid for about 5 minutes because he had to go home and get his beauty sleep. I should have followed suit, but oh no. I just knew I could get up and get to work on time. Hell I wasn't that drunk. Yet. Peanut showed up and we got caught up. She has been busy with school and she is still a newlywed. We don't get to see her that much so it was good to have a couple of beers together. Man that girl can talk. Her and Tammy talked up a storm last night. Rich showed up in his Dodgers Baseball outfit, or at least the pants. pin stripes and all. He had been at a softball game of course. Christi showed up also. B.C. Made it up. We all drank for awhile, but I hit my point and was wanting shots real bad so I knew it was time to go home. We said our goodbyes and went home. When we got home, Tammy asked me if I was going to update my blog. I was too tired and didn't want to try and type drunk. Who knows if it would have made sense or was even legible. So I went to bed. Tammy staid up and played poker online and came to bed. I did get a real nice surprise about 4am this morning. Tammy wakes me up and wants to know if I want to have sex. So being the stupid guy I am that is still drunk I say no. Then as I am going back to sleep this voice in my head starts screaming, "wake up you stupid ass she never asks for it. So the little head woke the big head up and we had us a nice little romp. This is where I messed up though. When we got done after hours upon hours of great sex, yeah right you know I lasted a whole 5 minutes, I should have gotten in the shower and just got up and went into work early. No I have to go back to sleep. It gets worse. So I get up with the alarm clock and jump in the shower at 6. I get out and then decide smartly to lay down for just a minute. I finally wake up at 7:30 and rush off to work with the biggest cowlick on the back of my head because I laid back down with my hair wet. So I got ribbed about it all day at work.

Work sucked as usual. Close repair orders, cut customers checks, eat lunch, do the same again and again. Got off work and had to head out to the softball fields in Haltom. Both the girls and the Wild One had games tonight. We could not make the Wild One's game so we went to watch the girls. The Princess had a double header tonight. They slaughtered the first team 17 to 2, then the second game was against the Softball Queen's team. At first it looked like the Princesses team was going to run away with it, then the Softball Queen's team came out hitting. It turned out to be a pretty good game. The Princesses team won 12-8, but it was the most challenging game they had this year. Kinda glad we didn't have to take them home tonight. I imagine they are fighting about right now.

That brings us up to the present. So with that I am going to sign off for the night, because my lovely wife is sitting here looking over my shoulder and pacing back and forth waiting to play her poker online. I promise never to keep ya'll waiting this long again, if I can help it. I know all the exciting escapades in my life are just what everybody is waiting to hear about. LOL. Talk to ya'll tomorrow.

BE COOL.

yes this is my saying Rich.

P.S. got an email from Stinky Dave today. It was good to hear from him. He sent me his work schedule and what days they have the kids. Tammy and I are wanting to go up there for a few days. If anybody is interested in what days he has off I have his schedule. Trust me if you want to go see him, you will want to look at his work schedule before you plan a trip up there. He works shift work and it is goofy as hell.

Monday,Monday

Today was a pretty good day. Work went well even though there is a lot of tension around the office. It is a power struggle between two bosses and somehow it looks like I am going to be stuck in the middle. Only time will tell. I got to work on time and actually got a lot done today. We will see how the numbers look tomorrow. Came home from work and took Bull for a walk. His training is coming along well, just not as fast as I would like. Lord give me patience. I think he is going to turn out to be great. I just need to get him where he doesn't bark at every little noise in the backyard. He still has a little growing up. What do you expect from a five month old.

Learned some great news while I was out walking Bull. There is a house being built just behind me. Well I found out Marketing Dave (soon to Chiropractor Dave), is building the house. He saw me walking Bull and stopped and told me the news. This going to be great. First the new neighbor moves in across the street and now I find out that another friend of mine is building a house right behind mine. The rest of you need to sell your homes and start buying some of these houses around here for sell, and we can just take over the neighborhood. Could you believe the block party if just a few more of ya'll moved over here. There actually are a few more houses for sell over here if anybody is looking. Hint Hint.

Came home from the walk and got to studying for my final. I could have taken it tonight, but why do today what you can put off until tomorrow. Plus I need to study just a little more. I am going to go and take the test before the Princess has her choir concert tomorrow. I had to quit studying before 8 pm because Las Vegas was on and then CSI Miami. Two of my favorite shows. CSI was pretty good. I sure wish Elvis would have continued tonight, but I guess they didn't want it to get in the way of CSI Miami, but then what about CSI NY on Wednesday. They will probably move it to another night or something. They need to do a CSI Dallas. The news was saying that the homicide rate in Dallas is one of the highest in the nation if not the highest. Way to go Ms. Miller. I have nothing against women in office. The one in Dallas has to go though. It has really gone down hill since she took office. This woman is the most power hungry person. I guess she is better than John Wiley Price though. What a crackhead. Man I got to quit being so political, because I really don't kept up with what is going on in politics, and I know if I keep going someone is going to leave a comment correcting me or telling me how little I know about what is going on.

Well that is it for today. I will let you know how my final turns out. Wish me luck.

BE COOL.

Sunday Review

Well this is the official Sunday Review, for this page at least. I didn't get to post yesterday. I try to do my posting at the end of the day, and last night I had a migraine headache. I couldn't even watch the end of the race last night at Darlington. Well I found out this morning that Greg Biffle won. The dark side of the rainbow took second ( #24), and my boy Little E took his number. As much as I hate Gordon, he has been really having a great year. That is about all the good things I can say about him. If you couldn't tell I am a die hard #8 fan. So I am watching the race and I can't even keep my eyes open because of my headache. I know, quit crying. So I went to bed around 9 pm. Other than that Saturday was a pretty good day. Tammy and I went to Lowes and got fertilizer and potting moss. I didn't fertilize because the rain was coming today, but we did put the moss around Tammy's flowers. Later that afternoon we had a cook out with the neighbors across the street. It was a good time and Brian can cook.

Got up this morning and went to the store. I got my wife a planter of tulips and cards for her and my mother. I didn't get to spend mother's day with my mom, because she and my dad went to their little hide-away in Oklahoma. They needed the time off. My dad takes her there once a year, because the cell phones don't work there and she can get some relaxation. I will get to give her gift later this week. Well when I got home from the store the Wild One, who came over last night to spend time with his mother, cooked Tammy breakfast. We got that taken care of and took care of the dishes and all of a sudden the power went out. The winds picked up like it was going to storm and a transformer must have been taken out. It took the electric company a long time to get the power back on. It was quite nice, because the wife and I forgot to plug our phones up last night to charge and so they both went dead. So If you called and didn't leave a message, there is no way we could tell. So we went out on the front porch and took Bull outside to see how he would act. He did great. He is going to turn out to be a really great dog. I read one of the books I am reading, Violets Are Blue by James Patterson. It is a book about Vampires. Pretty interesting. Yes it is fictional. Tammy and I played some cards, and we played battle ship with the Wild One. Tammy went to Bingo and the Wild One and I cooked out. We cooked up some Eckard sausage and ranch style beans on the smoker since the electric wasn't on. When we were cleaning up and taking the stuff back in the house the power finally came back on about 2 pm.

The Wild One's dad came and got him and Tammy came home. We watched the new DVD we got this weekend National Treasure with Nicholas Cage. It was a pretty good movie. We also watched the Elvis movie on CBS. It is still on. Elvis is still the king. Of course the TV gods have struck again. Just found out the movie is continued until Wednesday. That did not make Tammy very happy. She has to take the Princess shopping Wednesday for shoes and accessories for her two banquets this weekend. She has a band and choir banquet Friday and Saturday. There is always something going on with one of the kids. The joy of parenthood.

Well that's what happened at the Casa of Cowboy Colby. Nothing real interesting, but it was still a great weekend. I enjoyed cooking out and spending time with the neighbors and I especially enjoyed the time I got to spend with my family outside, because the power outage. Honestly if the power would not have gone out, the Wild One would have spent the day playing X-box, Tammy would have played poker online, and I would have been a couch potato. So it was nice spending time outside with the family and the dog. We had a great Norman Rockwell Sunday afternoon.

Well onto another great week at the salt mines. I hope this week goes better than last. I am not holding my breath though. Hope everyone has a great week. The King is gone and so am I. Good night and God bless.

Friiiiiiiiday

Yes it is finally Friday. Thank God. Man this has been a shit week, with me and the misses being sick this week and all the drama at work. I could not get into work this week. The weekend is here now. Had a pretty good night once I got off work. Tammy came and picked me up from work and we came home and got ready to go the girls softball game. It was the first game they had against each other at the rec. Here is a little background. This is the first year that the Princess and the Softball Queen have played on two different teams in the same league. The Princess played in a higher league last year, after some drama that I will go into later. But this year they are in the same league and on two different teams. They have always played on the same team until last year when they played in two different leagues. The Princess is on the leagues best team, at least for the last few years and the Softball Queen is on the only other team in the league that is going to give them any competition. So anyways at there game tonight it was a little stressful, because it is hard to not hurt anyone's feelings by where you are sitting. I was hoping I was going to take care of the books on scoring, but two little girls whose game got cancelled because the city left the sprinklers on all day took score. If I could have been up there I would have been in the middle so it did not look we were taking sides. The wife and I chose the side that had the most shade, but naturally the Princess thought we were picking the Softball Queens side. It was not like that, we were just choosing the best place to sit. They will get over it, but the next game they play against each other we will definitely have to sit on the other side to make it fair. Even if that side is on fire and Satan is sitting next to us. Speaking of Satan. There are a few of the parents out there that will probably take over for him when they get there when he takes vacations. There is more drama in this league between the parents then I came remember when I was playing baseball as a kid. I am not even go to get into all that because all those people don't deserve the time it would take to type out my bitches about them. So the game went well even though about three kids on the Softball Queen's team were playing hurt. They held them for a couple of innings and then the Princesses team finally came out on top. I am sure glad we don't have the girls this weekend, because I know they were fighting when they got home. Good luck to their father. This is what he fought for in the custody battle. I hope he gets his fill tonight.

Anyways to the good parts of tonight. Don't get me wrong. I love to watch my girls play softball. It was just a little stressful, because they were playing each other tonight. So after the game we came home and got ready and went to the "B", other wise known as Benigan's. This is the hangout I have made many friends for life in. We went up there tonight to celebrate a friend of ours, who is like a little sister to us, graduated from law school. Congrat's Carla. Shumpy could not have put it better as when we were toasting over a shot. Congrat's to the one in our little family that made it. We had a couple of beers and a shot and called it a night. Oh I forgot to tell you, Tammy even had a Strawberry Daiquiri tonight. All in all it was a good night. I got to see Rich & Christi, Eric, Nicole, Carla (who is going to be a lawyer), and my best bud Shump. All the time with my wife with me. I even found out a couple more people have seen my blog site. I thought only Shump, my wife, and me had been the only ones who looked at this site. So anybody reading this let me know if I need to fix anything or write about anything. I would love the comments. Until tomorrow, may all you get home safe.

Be Cool.

Crap Day

Well today officially sucked. Just could not get into doing the work with all I had. Had to have lunch with my two bosses today to try and figure out this little power play both of them are having. I am stuck in the middle like the kid whose parents are getting divorced. I really don't care either way who is over me, all I want to do is my job. Put in my eight and go home. This definitely makes me want to do good in school so I can finally apply to nursing school. Yes I want to become a nurse, but it is taking me a lot longer than most. I have been going pretty good for the last year. I have been able to work school around my job. I have finals Monday. Can't wait. I had to drop Anatomy & Physiology I this semester. I was stupid and took a Saturday course. Well don't do that on a hard course. It probably wouldn't have been bad, except my instructor had to be the most boring Professor I have ever had. Just could not get into it with his teaching style. I have had pretty good luck with professors at Havard on the Hill (TCC), but this guy was like listening to the guy from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? Any one? Plus I had to take off a couple of weekends, such as my anniversary and there was some softball weekends with the girls. So I got behind. I do better if I go to regular night courses. Though in the fall I am going to try and see if they will let me come into work later so I can go to school in the mornings. I don't know. We will see. I still am taking pyschology II. My final is Monday. I am only making a B in that class. That is the worst grade I have made since I have been back at school. I know. But right now I am caring a 3.25 GPA. Hey I have to keep the grades up there because there are a lot of people that apply to the Nursing School. Hopefully I can knock out the rest of my prerequisites next year and apply in the spring of '06. We will see.

Well the neighbor's dog still hasn't been picked up from the pound. I doubt if it returns. They never spent time with it. It was always chained up. Speaking of that. I took bull for his first walk today. I walked about 1/2 mile around two blocks around the neighborhood and he walked about a mile. He kept circling me. He didn't like the leash at first but he got used to it. I am going to try to do that every night that it is possible. Probably wouldn't hurt, especially since I was weighed at the doctor's office the other day. The official weight is 207.1. I am going to need to drop about 20lbs. So maybe walking and eating less this week is going to help. Don't know. I let you know.

I believe the unofficial count of people looking at this site now is 4. Yes that is including myself. I always go to this site and check it out. Pretty neurotic I know, but its new to me still. It is kind of like getting a new gun. You are always pulling it out and looking at it. At least until you go shoot it a couple of times.

I haven't been paying attention to the news lately, so no current topics to rant about. So Happy cinch de Mayo day. Anybody know why the Mexican celebrate this day as a holiday? I know why we do. Just another reason to go out and drink. We don't care whose holiday it is, as long as it gives us an excuse to party. I should say it used to. Right now I am sitting at home writing on my blog page and I am not going out. I know Shumpy is out there though. Be safe and don't drive any ugly women home. If you do, don't brag about it. Just treat the experience as one of the crazy people in your family that no one talks about. At least that's what we do here in the South. Everyone has a family member that is crazy and nobody talks about them. Mine is my grandmother on my father's side, but we don't talk about her or even let her out much. That story is for another time. Everybody drink up and O'la.

Be Cool.

I'm Back

I made it into work today. You would think that the place could not run with out me. There was a huge stack of papers, and I could tell my boss had been at my desk. He always goes through all the paper work on my desk and makes it a lot neater. He just doesn't understand my organizational skills. So everybody was glad I was back, because nobody likes doing my job. I have one of those fascinating jobs of filing warranty. I code and bill service repair orders. It takes a lot of memorization so I am pretty good at it. I am a lot better at filing warranty than doing the actual mechanic work, which I used to do. So any ways I am at work trying to figure out which pile of work I am going to start on and my wife calls in a frantic. The neighbor's Rottweiler busted through our back fence and attacked bull, my blue heeler. So I rushed home. Tammy had bull in the house by the time I got home. Come to find out I think the dog just wanted to play with bull, but he just didn't know how to play very well. My neighbor's father-in-law tried to come and get the dog out of our backyard, but the dog kept trying to bite him. I stood inside after that because if the dog was going to bite at him, he definitely was going to try and make me lunch. So the city came out and got him. I really don't have anything against the dog, but if his owners are scared of him. It is truly time for the dog to go. So I had to fix the fence before I went back to work. Now my neighbors and I are going to redo the back fence that has needed to be replaced since 1970. The problem is money is just so tight between our family and theirs. We have no choice now. It has to be done. What a way to meet your neighbors. To top it all off. Tammy has come down with what I had. When she gets sick it is twice as bad as me because of her MS (Multiple Sclerosis ). Her immune system just can't stand up to anything. I think the next time I get sick she is going to have to go stay at her mother's. She went to the doctors and seems to be doing better though.

Work is kind of tense right now. I have two bosses that are fighting for power. I like them both and respect them both and I can see I am going to get dragged into the middle of this one. Oh well, I guess that is the price of being so good at your job. lol. Look my first internet lingo. One of these days I am going to be an internet jedi. Speaking of that I can not wait until episode III comes out. I imagine we will be having a guys night out for that.

On another note, I got an email from my buddy Trent today about Hanoi Jane. This lady just burns me up for what she did back in Vietnam. I don't get to political about too many subjects, but how this lady is still alive baffles me. The problem is it is not the sicko's that hate her. It is the red blooded country folks, who stand behind their country, and abide the law type of folks who hates this woman with a true passion of hate. The crazy thing is now they are going to reward this lady as "100 Women of the Century." Just blows my mind after what she did. I emailed the letter to shump so I bet he puts it out there. That is the good thing about Shumpy. If there is something you want to make it out on the internet, he is the one who can get it out to a lot of people. Let's just face it, the man is connected. Enough about him. Back to Jane Fonda. I am definitely going to put her on the dead pool list this year. By the way Shumpy is there a dead pool this year?

Enough ranting about that bitch. I have given her to much of my thoughts today. I am fixing to go and make supper and do a little clean up around the house, like a good husband should. Until tomorrow, Be Cool.

Sick again

Yep, had to call in sick again today. I got up with all the intentions of going in. I still didn't feel really well, but I was going to try any ways. Got out of the shower & felt real weak. I thought I just took to hot of a shower. Low and behold, there she blows. You guessed it. Throwing up like a model before a shoot. So regretfully I called in again. Trust me, it's not like I really wanted to go to work, but I would rather work than laying around sick. Now if I had to take off work for golf or fishing, that would be another thing.

One thing great did happen to me today. I got out of bed finally and got on the computer. Found out that my bud Shumpy gave me a plug on his site. Thanks Shump. Nothing else to write about today. I might get up later and sign in, but I doubt it.

Have a wonderful day. Trust me my stories will get better. I just have to be able to get out of the house. Be Cool.

Sick Day

Well I told ya'll yesterday I didn't feel good. It was the truth. I got up to go to work this morning and just couldn't make it. So I am going to try and learn about my blog page today between trips to the bathroom.

I just contacted the expert on blogging and am waiting for him to reply. My wife is making me go to the doctor. This is just something I don't do. I am not dying, so why should I go. This will pass, but I have learned it is easier to agree with her than to argue the point. Makes things move a lot smoother.

Well good news, the doctor says I am going to live. Just a bug. Came back and went back to sleep. I know I am not well when I can sleep most of the day away. Tammy went to the youngest stepchildren baseball game (the wild one). He is a good kid, but he is his dad's only son so he is a little spoiled. To clear things up. The girls and the boy have different fathers and the two girls live with theirs and the boy lives with his father. We get them about every other weekend. The wild one doesn't come over as much as the girls. I am not going to use their real names because I don't think its important and they are under age. Duh, they are my step kids. I love all three of them like they were my own. For all of you out there that are wondering if I have any of my own. The answer is yes. They are just don't walk on two feet. They use all four. I have Matti our oldest. She is about 3 lbs. She thinks she owns the house and she sleeps with me every night. She is a toy Chihuahua. She is 1 years old. Then I got my boy, Bull. He is a full blood blue healer. He is 5 months old and is huge for a bull healer. He is a terror. He has the back yard pretty torn up right now. I am going to have to fence off half of the back yard just so the other side doesn't get torn up. I have not gotten to work with him lately and that is one of my goals this summer. He is real hyper and spoiled by my wife's opinion. I wouldn't say that though. I mean all he has is his own canopy, dog house, & love seat. None of it is heated or air conditioned. So by my standards he is not spoiled. He is truly intelligent though. I can not wait until some of the puppy wears off so we can get down to the real training. By the way I see no real harm in using my kids real names. I don't see them suing me when they get older for the things I write about them here. If they do, we all will be rich.

I did accomplish two out of three goals on my blog site today though. All I need to do is figure out how to make links from my page to other pages. I am pretty proud of my self.

Well the wild one won his game 19 to 3. He is turning into a really good baseball player. Just wish I could have been there. There will be others.

Signing off for the day and 3 goals accomplished today.

Another Sunday

Well it was just another Sunday just like the rest. We wanted to sleep in this morning, but when you have children that does not always happen. My oldest stepdaughter, our princes, called this morning about 7:30 to talk to us. She was in New Orleans for a Choir Concert. They took 1st place by the way. I don't even remember what she wanted. Probably just to call her mother since she was up, she expected us to be up. Not much different when they are over. Well we go back to sleep or try to and the phone rings again and it was my Mother-in-Law. She was wanting to know if we wanted to go to breakfast with her & her sister. Free breakfast you know I was up and going. Nothing gets me out of bed like someone else paying for a meal. So we got up and went to have breakfast @ the Golden Corral with her, her sister, who by the way is one of my favorite in-law's, and Tammy's brother, who was in town for Tammy's nephew's wedding.

We came home after breakfast, and watched a little T.V. and laid around. I wasn't feeling to well. Tammy decides to get up and mow the lawn. She asks me if I minded. Hell no. So I hear her get the lawn mower out, and start mowing the lawn. I am laying there on the couch and hearing the mower running, and all of a sudden I start feeling guilty. I couldn't believe it somewhere in my marriage I grew a conscieous. I argue w/ my self about 5 seconds and decide I need to go out there and mow the lawn. It is my responsibility anyways. So I go out there and she is about half done. I take over and the best part of it was I finally got to meet my new neighbors across the street. Finally someone around our age has moved in. Well they haven't moved all the way in yet, because Big Brother Electric Company hasn't turned there electric on. It has taken them over a week to get it on. You don't pay your bill and they can flip the switch and turn it off, but to turn it on that's another thing. As you can tell I don't have a great love for the utility companies. Any back to my new neighbor. It seems they will turn out to be great neighbors. I am hoping so. I have been really waiting for someone to move in around our age. Everybody else that lives on this street is either a lot older than us, or just pretty unsocialable. So I am looking forward to making many memories with both our families.

I just learned a new lesson in producing this blog. Save your drafts before you start experimenting with stuff on this site that you know absolutely nothing about. I had typed a lot more and just lost. Hopefully it will be another lesson learned but I doubt it.

Back to the story that I know all of you are so anxiously seating on the edge of your seats for. So nothing exciting after that really happened. We took our Softball Queen home, my middle stepdaughter, to her dad's house. We came home and I watched T.V. & my wife enjoyed her new obsession w/ online poker, the free kind. She finally got off the computer and here I am starting a new adventure in by life, blogging. The main reason I am doing this is that my grandmother, Mommie I (pronounced Mommy One), has always wanted me to keep a journal. She has done it most of her life and I am starting to realize the good that can come from it. It might not interest anybody else, but I think it will do a lot of good for me. The other reason I am doing this that one of my best friends has a great site and I am truly addicted to it. So I figured I would try my hand at it and knock to birds down with one stone. You ought to check out his site. shumpy.com, I am still learning how to post a link to the entry.

Goals for blogging:
1. Figure how to get to my blog page tomorrow
2. Post my pic to the page
3. Learn how to post a link to an entry.

We will start with that and try to grow the site.

I have bored you long enough and I doubt anybody made it this far in the post. So I am signing off for the day.
