Life Back To Normal

Or at least, normal as it can be in Bama. My foreman is back to work, and I have been catching up on the all the things that I needed to do, and some more. Business has picked up a little bit. Hopefully it stays that way. It is quite nice getting off of work at a descent time.

I do have some bad news though. I am not going to be able to make it back this weekend for H8P. If you don't know what I am talking about see here H8P. This will be the first one that I have missed in 7 years. I was there for the first one, and we even made it when Tammy was in a wheelchair. I have been trying to scrap up some extra money to make it back this weekend, but it just ain't going to happen. It sucks growing up, and becoming an adult. I probably will call in though for a party call sometime that night. To all of you that are going to be there take a lot of pics. I know Shump will. I figure I will be getting a call from Shump about this. This is just the breaks. We were really looking forward to making it back for the first time since we left, but it ain't going to happen.

We all went to Bingo the other night, and everybody but Tammy & I won. We even won some pork chops that we cooked up tonight. It was a good time and cheap, but they had some weird games. The best thing was they had $1.75 beers there. I tried to catch me a little buzz, but it didn't happen. We went with some friends, and took the kids. Alabama lets kids to a lot at a younger age. Heather doesn't even have to take driving school to get her permit. She just has to take the test. So guess what we are about to be doing. Now I have to start looking for a tank for her to start driving.

Talk to y'all later.

Friends and the Internet

I have come to know many friends in my life. Some come and some go. One of my long time friends is blogging now at Casman. I have know this guy since 1st grade. In fact I met him just before first grade when my mother married my step-father. I met him when I was out riding my bicycle. This was when kids could ride far from the house, and the parents didn't have to worry about kidnappers or perverts. So any ways back to the story. I met Casman, and a long lasting frendship ensued. My mom still has pictures of us busting up bricks to fill the holes for the post of the new fence we were putting up. Yes, I am taking brides to post or not post them. Let me just say, he used to have a whole lot more red hair on top of his head. He and I have been close friends at times in our lives, and sometimes we wouldn't see each other from years. Hell I don't even know if we saw each other in high school more than three times. The one thing that has kept us in touch though is definitely through another friend of both of ours. You guessed it Shumpy. Shump has introduced me to many of his friends, and I have become close to a whole lot of people, because of him. Now Casman and I are blogging. Probably because of Shump. There are many people I have met of the net, and never seen in person. I still have the same feeling that they are my friends, even though we have never met. I did get to meet one of the people that I have talked to in the blog world this last week. Chuck was down here for a conference, and we met up for a beer. Of course, I had my whole family in tow. They set over at another table, and ate with some other friends. Chuck and I got to put a name with the face, and downed a couple of beers, and the traditional tequilla shot. It was good times, but not nearly long enough. I wanted to sit there, and tie one on with him, but we come back to me being the bossman at work, and had to get home so I could get up in the morning. The whole point to this journey down memory lane is that the electronic world we live in, and the internet has made the world a whole lot smaller, and a better way to stay in touch with old friends, and new ones.

How about them COWBOYS. Did they put on a whipping or what? T. O. finally got some TD's. The only thing that sucks about that game is that I missed the second half. I was scared in the first half. We all went to The Shrimp Festival today. I think I gained about 10 lbs today. I had gator on a stick (yum), shrimp on a stick (not bad), a true root beer float (been craving that), and a funnel cake on the way out (not as good as Six Flag's though). So needless to say I still have yet to see T.O. get a touch down for the Cowboys. As long as they when though, I am happy.

No, I didn't get to go golfing this morning. I was a little too worn out, and needed to spend some time with the family. Hopefully this week goes a little better. As long as my foreman comes back to work Tuesday should. Hope y'all have a great week, and Shump, keeping my fingers crossed on the job hunt before the welfare runs out.

Hell Week

This week has sucked at work. My Foreman is out with an infection in his leg all this week, and won't be back until next Tuesday. So that means I am having to do 90% of the work. Our business has slowed down, but all my work is getting backed up, because I can't get to half the stuff that I am suppose to do in a day. It hasn't even helped that I have been staying at work 13 to 14 hours a day. O.K. I know quit whining, but I was just letting all 3 of my readers know that is why I haven't been blogging this week. I went into work today, but couldn't get much done, because when I am their I guess nobody can make a decision with out me. I guess that is my job, but I am hoping my crew will get like I used to be when I was in their situation. I used to make as many decisions as I could, and not bother my boss. There were a lot of times that I would not make the right ones, but my old boss always stood behind me, because I wasn't bugging him with all the little stuff. I have relayed this to my crew, but it is just easier for them I guess to make sure they don't have to make a wrong decision. Enough crying.

We went to Bay Fest down here last weekend. It is where they have about 10 stages, and have all kinds of bands show up. Friday night we saw Gretchen Wilson. She is so fine, and we had a moment there where ours eyes locked, or she could have been looking at the crazy ass people behind me, but I am always going to say we had our little moment. JK, but the girl is fine, and has an awesome voice. It was crowded as shit. Saturday, we had two games. The girls won both games, and the SBQ got a home run. Then we ended up going back out to Bay Fest to see Gary Allen. It was pretty good, but I staid back in the back. We had about 11 teenagers with us. Tammy and all the girls went up to the front, and got to see everything from the front row. I was tired of the crowd. I have come to find out, when I am around that many people I feel like I need to kick somebody's ass. I get tired of rude or pushy people. So I staid in the back so in case if anybody got lost or tired they had a centralized place to come back to, and I didn't have that far to go to the bathrooms, or beer stand. I got up early Sunday morning and went golfing. I actually did a lot better this weekend. When I got back from golfing, you guessed it, we went back out to Bay Fest. We got to see Lynyrd Skynyrd. They were awesome, but again, we had to get up front. When will I learn that I don't like being around that many people so close to me. We got through. All in all, last weekend was great, but too many damn people. It made Monday hard to go to work, but when your the boss, you can't lay up at home like a crack whore just because you are a little hung over. It sucks being the boss sometimes.

We are not going to go through what all happened this week again. I will spare you the griping. I went into work again this morning. Then off to the softball fields again today. The girls had two games again today. They won the first game, but lost the second game. One of their friends got picked up to pitch against them, and needless to say, she is a pretty good pitcher. The SBQ got picked up to play on another team in between her two games, and she scored a home run. It was a beautiful hit. I am going to have to get her some hitting lessons though, because in the her teams second game she struck out swinging both up to bats. Her timing was off. So I will be looking for her a hitting coach. Once she gets that down she will be well rounded. She is doing great. We just got a little fine tuning to do.

The girls are wanting to go to the Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores tonight. I am hoping I can get out of it, but it is looking doubtful. They just want to keep going, and going. I have to get up early tomorrow morning for golf. Yes, I said golfing. I can't hardly believe it either, but I am getting to golf two weeks in a row. Maybe my game will pick up a little bit.

Well, I hope you and yours are all doing good, and remember GO COWBOYS.

Crazy Ass News

The events that are happening in the news is Crazy. First you have this Looney going into this Amish school, and kills those kids, because he was thinking about molesting kids again. This dude definitely needed to be killed. Then, I get a call from one of my mechanics this morning telling me he had to remove his kid from school, because some idiot decided to go into the school with a gun. What triggers these guys? Some loon pulls this prank so they are sitting at home watching it on the news, and a light bulb comes on in their head. Are they acting like stupid teenagers who jump off a bridge, because they see everybody else doing it, when they see these stories, and say to themselves "That looks like a good idea. I think I will go kill some kids." WTF. If life is that bad go and put a muzzle in your mouth and pull the trigger. Don't harm innocent kids to get your 5 minutes of fame before you commit suicide by Cops. I believe this is all happening, because society has gotten too pansy assed on people who do wrong. We look the other way when a woman or child is being abused. Saying to ourselves "Its not my place to do something." We don't kick some one's ass when they do us wrong anymore. We sue or worse yet we pull a gun, and shoot everybody around, because these punks don't even know how to use a gun properly. We don't stand up for our rights as Americans, because we are scared we are going to offend someone. I am getting real fed up with this. Now I am not going to go out, and shoot people, but I definitely been telling people lately how it is, and not holding anything back.

Enough ranting about the crazies. Work is going pretty good, and the family is all happy right now. Tammy is keeping busy with all the softball stuff, and helping a friend of hers out with picking up her kids from school. The SBQ is doing better in school. We have one teacher we need to straighten out, but I have unleashed Tammy on her so she will be coming around. The Shop is starting to come around. I definitely can tell we are heading in the right direction. It just needs a little more fine tuning. All my guys, and one girl are enjoying working there again since I have shown them that it is not really that hard if you do the right thing first.

One more News bit that I enjoyed was that Bush signed a bill to build a fence on the border. Now I know this won't keep all the illegals out, because they will find another way around it. It might slow them down for a while, and it will bring some more jobs. That is if they really do build it. We have to do something, because I am tired of having to push buttons just to let machines know that I speak English, and prefer for everything I have to interact with to be in English.

I got a little wordy tonight, but I felt like I needed to speak my mind tonight, and not just tell y'all about what is going on here in AL.

Not Enough Punishment

I can't believe that all they are going to suspend Haynesworth only five games. At least, they are suspending him without pay. I think they should kick him out of the league for life. I can understand if you get mad, and hit the guy or tackle him after the play, but kick a man in the head after he out played you. The big guy from the Baltimore Ravens that comutates on the sidelines had it right yesterday. That was a cowardly act. What are you going to do. I am real surprised that the NFL actually suspended him more than 2 games though. Its probably a good thing that I am not the commsioner.

Today was a Fuck off day at work. I actually did a lot of work, but not as much as I should have. I took a couple of customers to breakfeast, and moved a lot of trucks around on the yard to take back some of the parking space for my department. The new truck department has ordered a lot of new trucks in due to the new style engines coming out in 2008. So they have been parking their trucks all in my spaces for my trucks that my shop has to work on. I knew if I left it up to them it would never get done. After getting some things straight at work I went and got my hair cut. Tammy found me a new place to get my hair cut. They didn't do to bad of a job. You figured as short as I get my hair cut I wouldn't be that picky about it, but I am. My hair is so thick that if you don't cut it right it looks like shit the next day. So I guess tomorrow I will find out if I will be going back to this place. As long as it looks good tomorrow I will return.

I am cooking my first pork loin tonight. It is nice getting off work before six at night. I have to take advantage of these times when they come up, because they don't come as much as they used to since I am the big hefe at work now. We are watching Benchwarmers. This movie is so halirous. It cracks my shit.

I am defenitely loving the laptop at home that work provided me with. I love watching TV and surfing the net or Blogging. Opps sorry, I mean Web logging. You happy now Link? This movie actually reminds me of guys of some guys back home. They will know who they are.

Tammy is actually in the kitchen finishing up supper. My evil plan has come full circle. She gets tired of me asking questions so she takes over for me. Playing dumb can be so much fun.

Well supper is almost ready, and I am starving. Tune in next time kids.

BE COOL.

This Given Sunday.

I got through month end yesterday. I woke up this morning about 7am to check my numbers. We did fall short, but only about 3k dollars. I little better than I thought we would do, but not as good as we should have. We just didn't get busy until the last week, and that is a little too late. Oh well, there is always next week.

Shumpy and Link called me yesterday about 7:30am. They were feeling no pain, and hitting the The Gold already that morning. They kicked it up the night before. I also found this neat little site while looking up "The Gold". The Gold Inside was pretty interesting. I have always wondered this also.

The Cowboys kicked ass today. I told y'all that the Nashville curse was over. We not only scored there today; we kicked their ass. The team really looked good today. We have a tough battle next weekend against The Eagles. Man, if we can put them away it will make it a lot easier for the rest of the season.

I didn't really do anything else today. I took a nap after the game, and marinated the pork loin that I am going to cook tomorrow night. Just another lovely day in Alabama. Yee Ha. I do miss Texas, but this is opprotunity is really going to help us get on top. I like it here, but it is no Texas. You can take the cowboy out of Texas, but you can't take the Texas out of the Cowboy. Mark my words. We will return one day.

Well BE COOL.
