A Little Calmer on the Home Range.

Last night I couldn't sleep for shit. Writing about the problems I was having with the S.A.F.C.C. calmed me down a little; until I went to bed. I tossed and turned for about three hours. I kept going over in my head what I was going to say to them today. Finally, I turned the boob tube back on to watch the History Channel to go to sleep. This is a technique I use when I can't sleep. I put it on the and I believe I am educating myself while I go to sleep. The trick worked again. I did wait on the Cable Guy to show up. I went up, and talked with the apartment manager. I turned in the problem sheet, (the one where when you move in; you mark down all the problems with the place,) and told her about the problems I was having with the S.A.F.C.C. She told me that she had a phone number for the district rep. and was going to contact him for me. Hopefully I will get some free cable for a month or two. I had to leave for work before the Cable Guy did show. Tammy was here though. He came by and fixed all the things that I wanted fixed. So I am done bitching about that for now.

Tammy's mom is doing better. They performed a stress test on her, and they still haven't told us a lot. Tammy is going up there tomorrow to see what the results are. In this case, no news is good news. I think she is going to pull through alright. Thanks for all the comments and concerns.

Now I am going to do something I have never done on this site. I am going to do one of those question thingys. I would be doing it, but Chuck's was so funny that I felt I had to do it also. So here it goes.

1) CD in your car that you are embarrassed to admit that you have: Pink. I love that bitch.

2) Song currently on the radio that you sing to in your car, that you are embarrassed to admit that you know the words to and like: The pill by Pink

3) TV show(s) that you secretly watch that you are embarrassed to admit: The taboo shows that come on the Oxygen Channel late night Saturday nights. Soft, Soft porn, but still porn.

4) TV or Movie Star that you would sleep with but are too embarrassed to admit that you would, because he/sheis not your normal type: The Red Head from Desperat housewives.

5) Musician that you would sleep with but are too embarrassed to admit that you would, because he/she is not your normal type: The lead singer from 4 Non Blondes . The big ol' DSL's. They get me every time.

6) Secret single behavior that you do at home when alone but are too embarrassed to admit: Jacking. Sometimes you have to relieve the stress though.

7) Admit HONESTLY what REALLY attracts you to the opposite sex at first site: A great smile. Yeah right, ITS THE BOOBS. I am a man for God's sake.

8) Even though you are not gay, admit HONESTLY someone of the same sex who you would have sex with if you were gay: Ain't got one, and not going to think of one. Sorry to disappoint ya'll. I ain't jumping the fence even for "What ifs."

9) Name an Olympic sport that you are embarrassed to admit that you like watching: Gymnastics of course. The girls in those skin tight leotards. Little know fact about me. I was in gymnastics in junior high. I got to look at many a girls in those tight little things, and some out of those tight little things.

10) Have you ever masturbated in a public place? Only driving down the highway, and it was dark so nobody could see. Long rode trip for some booty that didn't happen.

11) Have you ever had a job that no one knew about? If yes, what was it? Yep! Worked at Mickey D's for one night. Man friends came in to get something to eat and made jokes. I quit on the spot.

12) If you could be invisible for one day, who would you spy on? Any woman in Hugh Hefner's house.

13) Be honest Have you ever had phone sex? Yep. It sucked. Too much "well what do we say now?" Of course I was already done with me, I just stayed on the phone for the next five minutes for her.

14) Be honest Have you ever hooked up with a friend of your gf/bf while you were dating? Yeah, and come to find out she was crazier than the one I was dating at the time.

15) Have you ever hooked up with someone that you would never tell your friends? I think I have told my friends all the stupid stuff I have done in my life. Especially Shumpy he knows about almost everyone. We both have mopeds in the shed of past experience.

Well there they are. Laugh it up. I have stayed up way too late doing this list.

BE COOL.

Moving Sucks

Well I am sorry that I haven't been posting lately, but we had to move. We cancelled our cable and internet a little too early. That is why I haven't been on the net lately. We finally got moved this weekend and the cable people finally could work me into their busy schedule to hook up cable and internet. Murphy's Law happened. They fucked everything up. They not only came in and did a shitty job they didn't hook up everything right, and forgot to hook up some boxes in the apartment. My nephew was here so they could hook up the cable, because Tammy had to be at the hospital with her Mom. I will get to that in just a little bit. So I call the cable company after my nephew calls me and says that the guy did not hook up everything right. They tell me that they can make it out between 2 & 5 pm. I argue with them a little bit and finally concede to their schedule. So being the patient person I am I call them at 4pm before I left work to see if there was someone on the way since they hadn't made it there yet. They come on the phone with this " I am a little fuck up that you will never find and I can be a smart ass" attitude, and tell me they have until 5pm to be there. Well I get home from work just before five. Guess what? They haven't made it. So I learned a little patience and waited until five to call them and ask them where they were are at. So after explaining my story to the operator, oh excuse me customer service agent, they put me on hold for 30 minutes. I was watching the clock. I told you I am a patient person. They come back on the line and tell me the dispatcher cancelled the work order because they talked to the installer and he said he did everything right. Of course he did, that's why I called them. I just wanted to call and say thanks. Fuckers. Then they tell me that they will make some phone calls and call me back in less than thirty fucking minutes. (Can you tell that I have gotten over this?) Then the installer calls me back and says "I did what the workorder said to do." So I go off on the little fucker who didn't sound a day over 18. I explained to him that he didn't install the digital boxes in the other two rooms, and shit was done like a fucking junkie was stealing the shit. Not installing it. So he says he will see if he can get anybody to come back out. Guess what you fucking morons? If you would have come back out when you were suppose to it would be fixed. So I call the cable company back, because the installers are contract. You do know to get work that you can be proud of in your business you need to contract out all the work to people who get paid the job and have no benefits they always do a super job. That's what we do at our Multi-million dollar business where I work. Shit we would go broke. Sorry ranting. I call the S.A.F.C.C (shitty, assfucked, cable company) back again. Then I get to talk to the 6 dollar an hour supervisor, not the 5.50 p/h service agent. This fuck starts telling me the problem is that I was not there. I guess I am going to have to work for these fucks so they do their jobs proper and right the first time. Now after all my bitching and cussing these fucks out on the phone, they still won't be here until the morning. I feel sorry for the fuck that shows up tomorrow though, because I am taking the morning off to be here. I swear I want to pinch the fucking heads off these fuckers. I even asked them how they were going to compensate me for all the trouble. They reply that they don't feel like they should, because my nephew who is under 18 was here and they should not have done the install in the first place. Yeah, that was the problem. That must be why they did such a FUBARed job.

enough about the S.A.F.C.C. Tammy got a call this morning about 1:30 am from her mom. She was having chest pains and couldn't breath. So she called the ambulance and Tammy headed up to the hospital. She is doing better, but they are going to run test tomorrow. So Tammy is going to need to be there. So the S.A.F.C.C is going to have to deal with me. I can't wait. I think I am going to have breakfast made for the little dumplings when they show up. Yeah right. I hope Tammy's mom gets to feeling better. We are just going to have to wait and see. Ya'll say a few prayers for her.

Work is going alright. They are talking about hiring another person to be in the department with us. Who knows. People are quitting left and right. They new guy is doing awesome. A shit load better than I thought he was going to do. I have been able to get a lot done since he has been there. The best part about it is I didn't have to train him as much as I thought I was going to have to. We are working on rocking the place. By the way they still haven't come around to talk to me about a raise yet. They had better.

The new apartment is great, but still a fucking mess. It sucks trying to stuff a 3 bedroom house into a 2 bedroom, plus sun room (computer room now). We did have to get a storage. We have almost got it all knocked out though.

Well I hope a few of your are still out there. I will be writing more.

BE COOL.

Work SUUUUUUUCKS

I didn't post last night, because I went in to work Monday morning at 6am and didn't get off work until 7pm. Being salary sucks. If we weren't so broke right now I would have quit about 8am yesterday morning. They had everything so screwed up when I got back from vacation. It is going to take me two weeks to fix their fuck ups. I wish they would have just piled it all up on my desk and not done a thing last week. They thought they were helping me out, but in all actuality they just made it worst. I do appreciate people helping, but not making it more work on me. I blew my top Monday morning over several things. They just let me vent and left me alone until today. I kinda feel sorry for them.

The new guy, that I had no choice of hiring started yesterday, and it looks like he might work out. Hopefully. Most places have a 90 day probation period when they start, but not with me. If you can't pick it up and get going with in two weeks your out of there. I know it sounds mean, but what we do we can't afford to get behind. The new guy is probably going to make it. He has been doing everything right that I gave him, which is better than some of the people I have had moved to other departments in the company did.

Enough venting. I got to come home about 6pm tonight and chilled out. My buddy Chuck came by with his new girlfriend. She is not bad looking, but she is bringing more kids into the relationship than he is. To each their own though. If they are happy, I'm happy. I got to get some computer time. I didn't have to threaten the kids with bodily injury though to get the computer. JK.

Looks like chuck , surrvied Dennis. Congrats, but I hope at least a couple shingles came off so you can do the roof.
Also SK had a good time at the high school reunion. You need to check out here class picture. Reminds me of home.

Well the Softball Queen is having a friend over, and the Princess is too. I made my nephew's girlfriend go home. Don't act like it is so shocking. I made them sleep in two different rooms and I sleep with one eye open. No they aren't that heavy into the relationship yet, but I felt if she was going to stay much longer they might try. I had to give them a little cool down time. They are good kids, are very scared of me also.

We'll yell at ya'll later.

Be Cool.

Why I Am Glad I Don't Have a bushel of Kids.

We got up this morning and waited for everybody to show up to got to NRH20 , because nobody knew how to get there. I went to the Store and bought gatorade and waters. I filled the coolers up, and we waited. All the people showed up about the same time. We headed out to the water park. When we got there the ladies scouted out a good spot. Which in man terms means, we had to carry around heavy ass coolers to about 3 different spots until the ladies chose the last spot. Seeing as none of the adults had been there before there was no predetermined spot. The last spot was actually the best. Why do you ask why I am glad I don't have a lot of kids? Well I will tell you. There were about 10 kids with us today including the ones I claim. They all did a pretty good job of coming around and letting us know where they were, and what they were doing. All Except this one little kid, who definitely needs his name changed, because it is the same as mine. This kid took off to go ride a slide or something when we first got there by his self. Three hours later nobody has seen this kid. He is not hanging out with the other ones and nobody has seen him. The first thought that jumps into my mind is someone has taken this kid. Every other kid we have run into some where in the park at least twice. Not this kid though. So all the parents start going around the water park looking for him. I must have gone around the thing twice. Finally after an hour, he comes running up. So the buddy system starts. I make him pair up with another kid at the party that I had seen several times in this park, and threaten him with calling his mother if I find him alone again. I know, I am such a meany. Well after that I was pretty calm and we had a good time. Of course I wore my sun shades that you can't see my eyes through. The view was quite nice. Thank God for Texas heat and bikini makers. Note: there are some people out there that wear things that they shouldn't though. I feel it is everybody's responsibility to let your friends know when an outfit just ain't right to be worn in public. Like if you weigh over 200 lbs. Don't wear a two piece bikini. Nobody wants to see that in public. Now I might have offended some people with that last statement, but I believe practice watch you preach. I am not going to wear a speedo in public. My gut is too big and my package ain't that big to walk around showing it to everybody. If it was I would just go around naked.

We loaded up after being out there for 5 hours and came home. I am burnt, and both the step-daughters passed out as soon as we got home. Yeppieeeee. Computer time for me.

Yes the vacation ends today. I have to got to work tomorrow. I am not looking forward to seeing how much shit is piled up on my desk, and how much stuff I have to straighten out. Oh well, I think Tammy is ready for me to go back to work. She hasn't giving me any all week. That is just wrong for a man on vacation. I am hoping that tonight since the kids are dog tired that I will get me some. If not it will definitely happen next weekend when the girls go to their dad's for the weekend.

That's it for now. Have a great week.

Be Cool.

Just Call Me the Redneck Picasso

I got up this morning and went over to my parents house this morning and helped my dad paint the house. My father's house is a two story house and the second story is all wood. I got the wonderful chore of being the guy who did the top of the house. Heights don't bother me, but shakey ladders do. I got one side of the house done, but next week I am borrowing a paint sprayer from one of my friends. No more painting with a brush. I could have done the whole house in the amount of time it took me to paint the one side of the house. I really don't mind painting the house for Dad, just spending that much time in the Texas heat when it can be done a whole lot faster. We had a pretty good time making the side of the house brown though. That's a little side joke my father and I have. Ok, here is how the story goes. The first time I helped paint the house, my grandfather, dad, and I painted it. Well when ever we were doing house projects or working on some of their rent houses, they always told me some story or joke. So any ways, when we were painting the house they would ask me how the painting was coming, and I would say OK. They would say no it's not, and wouldn't tell me why until I started to become aggravated. Finally they told me the story about one time they were painting one of the rent houses, and next door some professional painters were painting the house next door. The professional painter next door asked them what they were doing, and my grandfather and dad answered we are painting the house. He said no your not, that's what I do. Ya'll are just making it green, or whatever color they were painting it. Well my dad didn't like this, but just kept working. Then when they were through they looked at both houses and saw the difference between the paint jobs. The professional painters job was a lot cleaner, neater, and didn't miss any spots. My grandfather and dad's job looked less professional. So from then on we never paint. We just make it green, brown, or whatever color the paint is at this time. Now I hope ya'll feel better about me explaining the inside joke. It does bring back a lot of good memories about times with my grandfather, dad, and I spending time together that we can never relive again.

After painting at my dad's I came home and ran over to chiropractor Dave's (formally know as Marketing Dave) house. There are so many Daves in our group of friends that we have to nickname them to keep them straight. Such as, Shakey Dave, Naked Dave, Stinky Dave (known now as Colorado Dave, Marketing Dave, etc. As all nicknames go there are stories behind everyone of them. So any ways I went by chiropractor Dave's house that he is building. He was experimenting with concrete stains, because he is going to do that in several rooms of the house. We got caught up and chit chatted a little. He did a test run of the staining. I wish we were still going to be living here when his house is finally done, but we won't be far. His house is coming along pretty good.

Just laid around like a crack whore after that, watching the boob tube. We went out for http://www.longjohnsilvers.com for dinner. I had been craving that place for a while and Tammy saw a commercial for it so then she wanted to go. Came back after dinner and watched TV. What an exciting life. I know my life is boring right now, but were poor for the time being.

Tomorrow were are going to http://www.nrh20.com for the Wild One's Birthday. His birthday was actually the third, but since everybody was going to be out of town for that weekend we are celebrating it this weekend. I will have to keep reminding my self that most of the ladies walking around there in bikinis are under age. These girls today look so much older than they are, but isn't that what our parents said when were young. So pray for me tomorrow because we are taking ten of his closest friends. No actually most of the parents are going to be there too. That's it for tonight. Stay tuned until next episode.

P.S. did ya'll see the links. I am getting good at this shit.

Chores, What Fun

Well we got up and cleaned house around here this morning. Oh the joys of vacation. After we cleaned house we went and looked at apartments. I think we have found the one we are going to move into if they let us in. It used to be so easy to get an apartment. Now they look at both of our credits. Not saying mine is great, but with both of us it makes it a little hard.

We took one of the nephews home that was staying with us this week. We will call him "Head", because his head is just now proportional to his body now that he is four, than when he was born. I think his body grew into his head. I swear it is the same size as when he was born. Cute as a button, but until recently his head was huge. He really wanted to go home, but then he really wanted to stay and play @ Uncle Colby's house. He was torn with the decision until he saw his parents and little brother. After dropping him off I took Tammy and the kids home and went to see my Uncle.

My Uncle broke his leg this week. He is a quadriplegic and one morning when his wife was transferring him from his bed to the wheelchair his leg broke. His bones are getting so brittle and they must have tweaked his leg some way and it broke. He had surgery yesterday and they installed a rod on his femur. He was released today, so I helped them get him home. The only lucky thing for him is that he could not feel the pain.

Now I have to comment on my Uncles wife. I thought about it today and this has to be one of the best people I know. She and my uncle have been married for about 25 years. There are numerous things that make her great like, how she takes care of him all by herself, and all the arts and crafts that she is so good at. The one thing that stands out in my mind that makes this woman a saint is that she married him after he was in the wheelchair. His first wife left him when he became paralyzed. This woman married him when he was already there. Now he can get around in his wheelchair and move his arms, because his shoulders still work, but that is it. He is truly dependent on this woman. She rolls him over three times a night about every three hours. She gets him out of bed and into his wheelchair. She also has to dress him and take care of other things also as in body functions. This takes a very strong willed person, believe me. I used to go over and stay with him when she went out of town once a year, and it is a lot of work. It just amazes me what this woman has done for 25 years of marriage. There are not a lot of people who would do all that for somebody with out getting paid. I just had to talk about it today, because it just touched me what she has to go through on a daily basis. The most amazing thing about her is that she never bitches or complains about it. I know everybody can't be as strong as this woman, but we should all try at least.

Nothing much went on after we got him home. I came on home and we ordered in Pizza. I watched some Stargate Atlantis and been playing around on the computer here and there. I have to go paint the side of my parents house tomorrow and Shump is suppose to be coming over tomorrow afternoon to work on the site. Ya'll have a great weekend.

Be Cool.

Look

I learned how to add extra links. Happy me, Happy me. Maybe I will learn some more new tricks on vacation.

Time With Kids

I didn't post yesterday, becasue I am having to fight for time on the computer with all the kids that are over. I don't think if I would have taken them out for meals, that they would not have left the house. So I did what all ya'll would have done. I hooked the wireless to my PC so the kids could get online on the old computer. I had to think of something they were taking over. I was going to stay up late last night, but after golfing in the hot sun yesterday and drinking all the beer, I was out about 8pm last night. By the way, I have a new record for my golf game. I shaved three strokes off yesterday. We are only 4 strokes away from the new clubs. I shot a 103. I know, a lot of you shoot a lot better, but I am improving. My previous record was a 106. Once I break 100, I am going to get me some new clubs. Ones that actually fit me.

This has been a pretty good vacation, even though work calls at least three times a day. I got to be a couch potato today. Scifi Channel is showing all last seasons eposides of Stargate SG1, which I miss most of them. So except for leaving for Lunch today at Poncho's, I have been watching all the episodes of Stargate. Yes, I have a geeky side to me.

Only a couple of days of vacation left. They will be filled with honey-do's. My wife let me go golf and lay around all day. So now I will get back to the business of getting things done around here. It is still better than work. Yell at ya'll later.

Be Cool.

Still Going

This last weekend was great, and it is still going. I am just taking an extra long weekend, instead of a vacation. I am still taking the week off, just not going anywhere. We went camping out at Loyd Park on Joe Pool. It is great out there, because it is like traveling to a State Park without as many rules. It is also close to home in case you forget anything. My SIL, 2 BILs, and all the nieces and nephews were there. We had a great time and I actually got pretty drunk Saturday night. The best thing about this weekend is that my nephew that we raised from the time he was three months old until he was two was there. I have not been able to see him for three months since his mother moved back in with her boyfriend. Needless to say I been along time and some bad blood since April. This kid slept in our bed every night until his mom decided to move in with her now boyfriend, and I stress Now. So it has been hard on me with him gone. It made my day when he arrived Friday night and ran up to me, because he missed me. I was sacred that with him being only two and it being over 30 days that his memory of me would have gone. It wasn't and it was a great weekend. He is talking so well. The one comment he made that made my weekend was when he came up to me and said "Colby my name is A_____." I am not putting his name on here just like the other kids, but from now on you will know him by Little One. I was so impressed that he could say my name, because all the other little ones have a hard time pronouncing it. We had a blast, we played and talked, and just sat around having a great time. He was well mannered also. I am working on getting his mother to let us see him once a month. Who knows.

We played a lot of horse shoes this weekend and ate a lot of good food. I won a lot of games, because I am the self pronounced Horse Shoe King. (JK, but I did pretty well.) My BIL and I cooked up 3 briskets and a mess of chicken. We all had a good time this weekend and never had a problem this weekend.

The only thing I missed was checking out the blog sites this weekend. I got up on Friday morning and checked a few from my phone, but I didn't do that the rest of the weekend. I knew if I did, I would want to come back into town and respond and talk to everybody. So maybe next year I will go wireless out there, just to stay in touch.

Sounds like everybody had a great time on the fourth as I was reading. I will blog some more later.

Be Cool.

Technology is Grand

I read my blog comments and and someother sites on my phone this morning. It is so nice to be able to be intouch. Thanks everyone for the comments and I changed my settings so anonymous can leave messages. If it doesn't work now let me know. I am still learning all this stuff. I had to come back into town to get a few things so I thought I would post. I will get back to all of ya'll after the 4th. Have a great 4th of July and be safe. Cass if I don't do anything you wouldn't do, is there anything that can't be done? JK have a great time. See ya'll soon. I will respond to all the comments when I get back, because the wife is screaming for me to hurry up.

Be Cool.
